Each sheet prints on one side of A4. Use the PDF for printing and the image if you want to save or pin it.
1. Trace and write I
A solid letter to copy, then dashed guides, then blank handwriting rules. Capital I first, then lowercase i.
2. Find and color every I
A grid of mixed letters with I and i hidden through it. This builds recognition rather than handwriting, so it works before a child can write. Both cases appear. Plenty of children learn the capital and then do not recognize the lowercase.
3. Draw the I words
Three boxes, igloo, ice, insect, with the word to trace and room to draw it.
How to form the letter I
Capital I: A single straight line down. Some add bars top and bottom.
Lowercase i: A short line down, then a dot above it.
Say the movement out loud while your child writes. Naming the strokes does more than showing them.
Watch for: The dot gets forgotten, or lands far from the stem. Saying “line, then dot” while writing fixes both.

Freeze colored water, then paint with the cubes as they melt.

Look for insects outdoors and count legs.
You will need: Nothing.
